Different poker players want different poker chip denominations in their poker chip sets. Some poker players play mostly cash games. A cash game is a poker chip game that is played for real money on each hand. Other poker players play mostly tournaments. A tournament is a poker game that provides each player with the same amount of tournament poker chips and prizes are awarded depending on which place the player finishes in the tournament. In general. cash game players will use smaller denominated poker chips like the $1 and $5. Tournament players generally want their sets to have larger dollar values in their sets.
